PERSHORE OSTEOPATHIC PRACTICE IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE

THAT IT WILL BE REOPENING ON

WEDNESDAY JUNE 24TH.

NEW PRACTICE GUIDELINES – What to expect on your next visit

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to a return to some normality.

Whilst many things have changed, one thing has remained the same at the practice: our commitment to you and your safety.

Firstly, I can reassure you that I have followed all steps to ensure my practice is COVID-19 secure in line with current government advice. I already follow a strict professional Code of Safe Practice as set out by my professional governing bodies The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and all necessary enhanced cleaning and safety measures are in place.

No patients with COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 will be allowed to come to the clinic.

To help further ensure your safety, I’m asking you to bring certain items to your appointment, and letting you know what will happen before and during your appointment.

Before your appointment:

Once you have confirmed your appointment, the practice will then email to you several forms to read through and complete, please complete these and return them before your appointment this will help me to be better prepared to meet your needs and reduce contact time of the initial appointment.

Checking you are Ok to attend:

I will contact you just before your appointment to check if you are still Ok to attend. If your answer is ‘Yes’ to any of the following questions, then unfortunately your appointment will not be possible and we will have to reschedule. The questions are:

  • Have you had a fever in the last 7 days?

  • Do you, or have you recently had, a persistent dry cough?

  • Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

  • Have you been told to stay at home, self-isolate or self-quarantine?

  • Do you have any other symptoms that may mean you have a COVID-19 infection? (loss of taste and smell, unusual fatigue or shortness of breath)

The reason why I would not be able to treat you if you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, is so that I follow government guidance. If you have symptoms, you must stay at home for at least 7 days from when your symptoms started. Please check the latest government guidance about this, and find out what steps must be taken by those people close to you:

When I have established that it is Ok for you to attend, I will ask how you’ve been, to start planning an appropriate treatment for you and answer any last minute questions.

Please bring to your appointment:

  • Your own towels or blanket for cover, freshly washed and handled with clean hands, transported in a bin bag or washable bag

  • Tissues

  • A pen (I will be asking you to sign several short forms at every appointment and it is advisable not to share a pen)

At your appointment:

I will be wearing PPE which may make communication a bit difficult please feel free to ask for anything to be repeated.

When you arrive for your appointment, please wait to be collected.

Please leave all unnecessary items at home or in your car

Enter the practice through the Grey door to the right of the building.

When entering the practice you will be asked to:

  • Remove you coat, boots etc and place in the storage box provided.

  • Remove your gloves and face mask and place them in the PVC bag provided or else dispose of them in the foot operated peddle bin. Gloves that have been worn outside have a higher risk of contaminate than clean washed hands. I can provide you with a new disposable mask.

  • Wash your hands with soap in the cloakroom or use alcohol gel.

Once in the treatment room:

  • I will ask you to re-confirm some COVID-19 screening questions and I may also take your temperature using a non contact thermometer.

  • Other than that the appointment will be just as before.

After your appointment:

We can arrange a follow up appointment if needed for you by email or phone, as before this will be confirmed once payment has been received and again this can be done via PayM or bank transfer.

Important

  • Please do not arrive with out an appointment.

  • With the exception of children and patients with carers, you should come alone.

I understand that this all sounds like a lot but in reality its all very straight forward and quick. Don’t worry, I will always be there to guide you through this journey and I all hope we can get back to normal again soon or at least start to get used to the ‘New Normal'.

Personally, I am just so pleased to be able to help you all again, and appreciate your understanding that safety remains a priority. Please feel free to call the practice if you feel unsure about a ‘Face to Face’ appointment.

Many thanks and Kindest regards

Dev Naraine

Welcome to The Pershore Osteopathic and Sports Injury Practice. The main practice is located just outside of Pershore in central South Worcestershire and has good transport connections to neighbouring towns and surrounding villages.

Treatment at the practice is a blend of structural and functional Osteopathic techniques and Sports Injury management. We also provide Modern Medical Acupuncture/Dry Needling, Ultra sound, Electrotherapy, Sports massage and Kinesiology taping to complement treatment sessions. Depending on your presentation, your appointment may be a mixture of appropriate treatment modes but we will discuss this with you.

The practice has a special interest in posture and muscle activation and we think that an important part of our work is providing you with additional exercise and conditioning advice to aid recovery and help you avoid injury in the future.

We are a family orientated practice and we work with clients of all ages as well as athletes from novices to elite level.

Our quite purpose built treatment rooms are on the ground floor and have separate entrances with cloak room facilities, there is also ample private off street parking to the front of the building.

We hope you find the web site informative - we’ve gone into some detail in certain sections and we hope that this gives you a better idea about Osteopathy and the treatment of Sports Injuries at the practice.

Please feel free to make a no obligation enquiry

Many thanks
